Description
In space warfare, putting enough fuel on a missile to power it to its target turned out to be impractical. Instead skilled artillerymen turn to a naturally available energy source: gravitational potential.
Instructions
This is a two-player game, but the players must share a mouse - networking is not on the cards. Take it in turns to fire missiles, aiming to hit the other player. Once you fire a missile the only force to act on it will be gravity, so you must judge the initial course and speed carefully. Control is entirely with the mouse.
Note: this is slightly updated from the version judged and works around certain bugs in Java applet support which earlier caused issues. However, it doesn\'t work around a bug in Webstart which mis-sizes windows for applets. I recommend playing the applet version from my website, which is the correct size.
